These allowances apply to new and existing users, including after a trial or paid license expires. Pro adds advanced appearance controls and raises each of the six limits to 5.

Open the Notes tab at the right edge of ChatGPT to save a note for the current chat or a global note. Search your notes, use bold and italic formatting, copy text, or return to the original conversation. Notes are separate for each ChatGPT account and workspace and do not automatically sync between browsers or devices. Free includes 3 saved notes, Pro includes 5, and Power or an active trial has no commercial note limit. This is saved-note capacity, not a monthly allowance. After a downgrade, all existing notes remain readable, searchable, editable, copyable, and deletable; only new creation is blocked at capacity. Deleting a note frees a slot. Deleting its source chat, disabling Notes, or resetting preferences does not delete the note.

Prompt Enhancer and Chat Export each include 3 uses per local calendar month on Free and 5 on Pro. They have separate counters that reset on the first day of the next month. The allowance applies across tabs in the same browser and is separate on each device. Note capacity, folder capacity, saved prompt capacity, and recent history are not monthly allowances.

Yes. Chat Folders supports multiple levels of nested folders on every plan. Each main folder and subfolder counts toward the same total: 3 on Free, 5 on Pro, and unlimited with Power or an active trial. For example, one main folder and two subfolders use all three Free slots. Create a subfolder from a folder's menu, or move folders using the menu or drag and drop. You can expand or collapse a folder and all its subfolders together.

Power and the active Power trial include Manage folders after the first Chat archive synchronization. Open the Folders menu beside the sidebar heading and choose Folder manager to browse the folder tree and synced chats, search titles, filter active or archived conversations, and move selected chats or remove their folder assignments. Free and Pro keep sidebar folders and subfolders within their existing limits. Optional folder descriptions are available on every plan.

Chat archive keeps a local copy of your conversations in your browser so smart search can find titles and messages, Folder manager can search your chats, and Image Gallery can find images from them. Enable Chat archive in Advanced, or Settings in the sidebar panel, with Power or an active trial. Creating and updating the archive requires downloading conversations from ChatGPT. StylerGPT spaces out downloads, skips unchanged chats, and pauses automatically when ChatGPT limits requests to reduce the risk of the 'Chat history could not be loaded' error. Large histories can take time to sync, and recent changes may not appear immediately. Already synced chats remain available during a temporary pause. The archive shows initial sync progress and estimated time remaining, then the conversation count and last update. Turning it off stops synchronization and makes all three tools unavailable, but keeps your downloaded chats, gallery favorites, ChatGPT conversations, and folder assignments. Turning it back on resumes synchronization from the saved archive; enable Smart Search again in Toolbox to use it. To delete downloaded chats and gallery favorites, use 'Delete local archive' in Chat archive settings and confirm. Disabling only Smart Search or Image Gallery in Toolbox leaves archive synchronization running. License expiry pauses synchronization and access while keeping your saved items. Chat archive is separate from archiving a conversation in ChatGPT.

Smart Search is included with Power and the active Power trial, with unlimited searches and result exports. It is not included with Free or Pro. After the initial synchronization, open sidebar search or press Ctrl/Cmd+K to search chat titles and messages. Filter by message role, conversation update date, active or archived chats, whole words, and included or excluded terms. Results highlight matches and let you jump to messages. Export selected chats or matching messages with their following message as JSON, Markdown, or TXT. These search exports are separate from Chat Export allowances. Folder assignment follows Chat Folders limits; archiving and deleting require Bulk Actions access. Smart Search requires Chat archive in Advanced to be enabled and its first synchronization to finish. Disable Smart Search in Toolbox to return to native search without stopping archive updates. Turning Chat archive off stops synchronization and makes Smart Search, Image Gallery, and Manage folders unavailable, but preserves downloaded chats and gallery favorites as well as your ChatGPT conversations and folder assignments. Clearing the saved archive requires 'Delete local archive' in Chat archive settings and confirmation.

Prompt Guard is an opt-in Power feature that checks outgoing prompt text before it is sent to ChatGPT. It can flag email addresses, phone numbers, payment cards, IBANs, international tax IDs, API secrets, credential assignments, and private keys, then pauses sending so you can edit the prompt or explicitly continue. It is disabled by default and does not check files, images, OCR, voice, connector uploads, or unrelated third-party sends.
