Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how StylerGPT handles data when you visit stylergpt.com, install the StylerGPT browser extension, use StylerGPT features inside ChatGPT, or purchase a license.

StylerGPT is operated by Indigeno Digitale di Fabio Viola (VAT ID: IT12398841002), doing business as StylerGPT.com. Our goal is to keep ChatGPT customization, local workflow tools, and chat export as local as possible in your browser.

StylerGPT does not use your ChatGPT conversation content for advertising, analytics, or model training. Local features such as styling, saved prompts, folders, and chat export are designed to keep conversation content on your device. Some limited identifiers are used for trial verification, license activation, fraud prevention, and payment processing as described below.

Data Collection and Usage

Local device identifier

When you install the browser extension, StylerGPT creates a random device identifier stored locally in your browser. This identifier is used only for:

  • Managing trial status, license activation, and device limits
  • Preventing abuse and keeping access fair across plans

This device identifier is not used to track your ChatGPT activity or conversation content.

Free trial identifier (hashed ChatGPT email)

When you are signed in to ChatGPT, the extension may read your ChatGPT account email from the page only to verify free trial eligibility. The email is immediately transformed in your browser into a one-way cryptographic hash (HMAC-SHA-256). Only the hash is stored or sent to our servers to check or activate the trial.

We do not store or transmit the raw email address for trial verification. The hash cannot be reversed by us to recover the original email address, and we do not use that email address to contact you.

Chat export (local)

When you use chat export to save ChatGPT conversations as PDF, DOCX, Markdown, TXT, or JSON, the following process occurs:

  • The conversation content is processed locally in your browser to generate the selected export file
  • The export file is saved directly to your device
  • Conversation content is not transmitted to our servers for export generation

We do not store, log, or retain ChatGPT conversation content for Chat export because the export is generated locally in your browser.

Toolbox data stored locally

Some toolbox power-ups store feature data locally in your browser, such as saved prompts in prompt manager, prompt history, chat folder names and assignments, and clipboard access items. This data is used only to provide the local feature and is not transmitted to our servers.

What we do not collect

StylerGPT does not collect your ChatGPT conversation content, prompts, saved prompts, folder names, exported files, clipboard items, or browsing activity for advertising or analytics.

If we introduce product analytics in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before collecting that data and will describe what is collected, why it is collected, and whether users can opt out.

Payments and licensing

If you purchase a paid plan or lifetime license, payment and billing information are processed by our payment provider. StylerGPT does not store your full card number. We may receive limited purchase and license information needed to activate, manage, and support your license.

Permissions and access required by the extension

StylerGPT needs access to ChatGPT pages to apply themes, fonts, layout changes, folders, prompt tools, and export controls. Some optional features request extra permissions or site access only when you enable them. You can deny optional permissions and still use the core extension.

  • ChatGPT site access (chatgpt.com): Needed to apply themes, fonts, layout changes, chat folders, prompt controls, export buttons, and other StylerGPT features inside the ChatGPT web interface.
  • Clipboard access (clipboardRead): Optional. Needed only for clipboard access so the extension can read recent clipboard text and let you reinsert it into ChatGPT when you choose to use that feature.
  • YouTube site access (*.youtube.com): Optional. Needed only for YouTube summarizer to add a summarizer button on YouTube pages and read available transcript and metadata to prepare a ChatGPT summary prompt.
  • GitHub raw content access (raw.githubusercontent.com): Used by PDF export to load open-source Noto fonts when needed so non-Latin characters render correctly in exported PDFs. This request is for font files, not for ChatGPT conversation content. Fonts are loaded from the Noto fonts project: https://github.com/notofonts/noto-fonts.
