Separate context from instructions
A useful prompt can have several parts. Start with the task, add the context on the next line and finish with the format you want back. In this demo, a customer research brief separates the session goal, the focus on onboarding friction and the request for five interview questions.
Press Enter and keep writing
Open StylerGPT, select Advanced in the window layout and enable Enter for new lines. Back in the ChatGPT message box, Enter inserts a line break. Your draft stays in the composer while you add an outline, a list of requirements or another paragraph.
Send the complete brief with Shift+Enter
When the prompt is ready, hold Shift and press Enter to send it. ChatGPT’s send button also remains available. The setting changes the keyboard behavior; it does not rewrite your prompt or add instructions to it.
Switch back whenever you prefer
Turn the same setting off to restore ChatGPT’s normal Enter behavior. The change applies to the composer, leaving existing messages and writing blocks alone. No prompt library or conversation synchronization is required.
About Enter for new lines
How do I enable Enter for new lines?
Open StylerGPT while you are on ChatGPT. In the window layout, select Advanced and turn on Enter for new lines. In the sidebar layout, open Settings to find the same control. Close the panel and start writing in the ChatGPT message box.
How do I send a message after enabling it?
Press Shift+Enter to send your message, or click ChatGPT’s send button. Enter on its own adds a new line, so you can separate context, instructions and output requirements before sending the complete prompt.
Does it change existing messages or other text editors?
No. It changes Enter behavior in the ChatGPT composer. It does not reformat existing conversations, and the extension excludes writing blocks and the forms used to edit previously sent user messages.
Can I restore the usual Enter behavior?
Yes. Turn off Enter for new lines in the same settings. StylerGPT removes its keyboard handling and ChatGPT’s normal composer behavior resumes.
Does this require prompt history or chat synchronization?
No. Enter for new lines is an independent setting and is available on Free. You do not need to enable prompt history, synchronize Chat archive or save a prompt first.
Does the demo send a real ChatGPT message?
No. The automatic demo uses a fictional customer research brief and simulates typing and sending inside the preview. The visible key indicators explain the shortcut; they are demo annotations rather than controls added to ChatGPT.
