Choose a format for the next step
Use the Download menu in the conversation header to choose PDF, DOCX, Markdown, TXT or JSON. A PDF is convenient for reading and sharing; DOCX gives you an editable document, while the text and structured formats suit other workflows.
Keep the context or just the answers
All messages preserves your prompts alongside the responses. Assistant responses only leaves out your questions, so a finished summary or set of recommendations can stand on its own. The demo keeps All messages and shows the original request and the three release priorities in chat bubbles.
Review the document before downloading
Check the file name and the options available for your format. PDF supports margins, font size, title and link inclusion, chat bubbles, page numbers and a dark theme. Click Download when the settings match what you need.
About Chat Export (Download)
How do I download a ChatGPT conversation?
Open StylerGPT on ChatGPT, select Toolbox and enable Chat Export if it is off. Open a conversation, click Download in its header and choose a format. Review the file name, message selection and available options, then click Download.
Which export formats can I choose?
Chat Export offers PDF, DOCX, Markdown, TXT and JSON. Choose PDF for a document to read or share, DOCX for further editing, Markdown for a text-based workflow, TXT for plain text, or JSON for structured data. Formatting options depend on the selected format.
Can I export only ChatGPT’s answers?
Yes. In the export options, change Messages from All messages to Assistant responses only. The exported file leaves out your prompts. Choose All messages when you want to keep both sides of the conversation.
Which document options are available?
For PDF, you can choose margins and font size, include the conversation title and link, add chat bubbles, hide page numbers and enable a dark theme. Other formats enable only the options they support. The demo keeps All messages, turns on Add chat bubbles and, in dark mode, enables the PDF’s dark theme before exporting.
Where is the exported file generated?
StylerGPT generates the export locally in your browser. It may retrieve conversation content from ChatGPT and request permission to fetch non-Latin fonts or embed ChatGPT-hosted images when needed. The resulting file is saved through your browser’s download system.
Does the demo download a real file?
No. Every action uses a fictional conversation. The PDF appears in a second simulated browser tab, with both messages shown as chat bubbles. In the extension, Download saves the file; opening the illustrative preview in this demo does not start a real download or open a real browser tab.
