Recall your latest prompt first
You are drafting a product launch update and want to revisit how you asked for release priorities. Click the message box and press Ctrl + ↑ to bring back your most recent prompt. Press it again to reach the earlier customer interview summary. On a Mac, use Cmd + ↑.
Move forward to your unfinished draft
Press Ctrl/Cmd + ↓ to move back toward newer prompts. Continue past the newest one to restore the draft you were writing before you opened history. The demo ends with the original launch update text back in the composer, ready for you to continue.
Review the text before sending
Recalling a prompt only fills the composer. Keep the wording, edit it for a different task or return to your draft. Nothing is submitted until you choose to send. When you send a reused prompt, it becomes the most recent entry in your unique prompt history.
Keep recent prompts close to your work
Prompt history stays in your local browser and records prompts sent while the feature is enabled. It works without synchronizing Chat archive. For a visual list, open Prompt Manager and select History. For prompts you want to organize and keep as a reusable library, use Prompt Manager’s saved prompts.

How do I enable Prompt History in ChatGPT?
Open StylerGPT while you are on ChatGPT, select Toolbox and turn on Prompt History if it is off. The empty message box shows a shortcut hint. Prompt History records prompts as you submit them while it is enabled, so you need at least one recorded prompt before the shortcut can recall anything.
Which keyboard shortcuts recall previous prompts?
Click inside the ChatGPT message box. On Windows and Linux, press Ctrl + Up to recall the most recent prompt and press it again to move to older prompts. Ctrl + Down moves toward newer prompts. On macOS, use Cmd instead of Ctrl. The demo shows the Windows shortcuts.
What happens to the draft I was writing?
When you start navigating history, StylerGPT keeps the current draft for that message box. Move forward with Ctrl/Cmd + Down past the newest history item to restore it. This lets you check earlier wording and return to your unsent draft in the same conversation.
Does recalling a prompt send it to ChatGPT?
No. The shortcut only places the prompt text in the message box. You can edit it before choosing to send. Prompt History recalls text, not attached files, images or ChatGPT’s answers.
Where is my prompt history stored?
Prompt history is stored locally in this browser on this device. It does not synchronize across devices or import all your existing ChatGPT conversations. You can also browse recorded prompts in the History category of Prompt Manager; Chat archive synchronization is not required for the keyboard shortcuts.
How many previous prompts can I recall?
Free access lets you recall the latest 3 unique prompts and Pro the latest 5. Power removes that access limit for retained history. The local history retains up to 200 entries. Reusing and sending a recorded prompt moves it to the top rather than adding a duplicate; simply recalling it does not change the order.
