What makes StylerGPT different

Appearance and workflow in one extension

StylerGPT combines ChatGPT themes, typography, and layout controls with prompt tools, chat organization, search, and export. Its focus is a configurable workspace inside ChatGPT.

Five locally generated export formats

StylerGPT creates PDF, DOCX, Markdown, TXT, and JSON files in the browser. Conversation content is not uploaded to a StylerGPT export server to generate those files.

Local tools with explicit data boundaries

StylerGPT keeps styling, saved prompts, folders, prompt checks, and exports local to the browser. Trial verification, licensing, and payment processing use limited data as described in its privacy policy.

Independent installations, by design

Power supports up to three device activations, but each installation keeps its own settings and local tool data. StylerGPT does not provide cloud synchronization of that data between devices.

The team behind StylerGPT

Fabio Viola

Founder and independent developer

StylerGPT is built and maintained by one person. Fabio is an independent maker and senior technical architect with a degree in information technology and more than 15 years of professional experience in tech, including ecommerce, SaaS, and full-stack development.

He works from Rome, Italy, during the winter and Larissa, Greece, during the summer. StylerGPT is operated by Indigeno Digitale di Fabio Viola.

Built for hours spent in ChatGPT

The idea came from Fabio's own daily use. After spending hours in ChatGPT, he wanted more than a monochrome interface: colors, typography, and a workspace that matched his taste and felt more inviting to return to.

StylerGPT's goal is to give people control over how ChatGPT looks and reads, and to add the small tools that make intensive use more productive. The focus is on the interface around the conversation: finding past work, reusing prompts, organizing chats, and saving useful answers.

February 2023
GPT-EZ begins
Fabio released GPT-EZ to make the interface he used for hours every day feel more personal. The starting point was visual customization: more choice than ChatGPT's default monochrome appearance.
Later in 2023
Botrush Browser Plugin
After receiving a request concerning the GPT name, Fabio chose to rename the extension. It became Botrush Browser Plugin, connecting it with Botrush, a separate interface he had started building in March 2023 for people using their own API key.
May 2024
A separate path
Fabio sold the separate Botrush application and retained the browser extension. Months later, he paid to buy Botrush back so existing lifetime customers could continue using the application. The browser extension remained his independent project throughout.
September 2024
The StylerGPT name
The extension became StylerGPT. Its original focus on appearance grew to include everyday workflow tools, with local processing and storage as a core design choice.

The names behind older reviews

GPT-EZ and Botrush Browser Plugin are earlier names of the extension now called StylerGPT. Botrush was also the name of Fabio's separate application for using AI with a personal API key, which he sold and later reacquired.

The former domains gptez.xyz and botrush.io now redirect to stylergpt.com. Older reviews and AI directories may therefore use those names or describe earlier features, even when their website links bring readers to StylerGPT today. The current feature overview describes what the extension offers now.

Why the workflow tools stay local

Customization solved only part of the problem. Fabio also needed folders, conversation downloads, and reusable prompts. Installing separate extensions raised another question: where did those tools send the conversations they processed? Remote PDF generation, in particular, was a tradeoff he did not want for his own chats.

He brought those tools into StylerGPT with a privacy-first approach. Conversation exports are generated in the browser, and saved prompts, folders, and settings stay local. StylerGPT does not track how users use the extension for product analytics. This means less usage data to guide development, making direct feedback especially valuable.

This design also means separate configurations on separate devices, with no StylerGPT cloud sync. It does not mean the extension never makes network requests: AI-assisted features use ChatGPT, and trial verification, licensing, and payments require limited data, as described in the privacy policy.

Maintained as ChatGPT changes

ChatGPT's interface changes can affect extension features and styling. Across dozens of updates, Fabio has refined StylerGPT's compatibility handling and checks to reduce visual glitches, spot breakages quickly, and release fixes. The release notes document that ongoing work, alongside new features and improvements.
