StylerGPT adds appearance controls and practical workflow tools to ChatGPT's web interface. You can make long answers more comfortable to read, keep reusable prompts close to the message box, organize conversations, and save useful work to your device.

This guide separates the visual controls from the Toolbox so you can choose the features that solve a problem in your own workflow.

What StylerGPT Includes

An eligible installation can start with a 7-day Power trial. Free remains available afterward with color palettes and six power-ups with included allowances. Appearance Controls for Long Sessions

Themes and Backgrounds

A theme preset can apply several settings together: light or dark appearance, accent colors, font, background, bubble styling, and a code-block theme. Browse the general presets or the accessibility-oriented collection, then filter by color palette.

You can also build a setup using the individual controls. Choose a solid background, a gradient, an image from the catalog, or an uploaded image. Adjust the image's visibility so the conversation remains the main focus.

Complete theme presets are available with Power or an active trial. Pro includes the individual advanced appearance controls, such as fonts, backgrounds, and layout, but does not unlock the complete preset collection.

Fonts, Chat Width, and Bubble Styling

The font browser lets you search families, filter by category, and preview a selection. Choose a size preset and decide whether it applies to chat messages or the full interface. You do not have to change every label to make the conversation itself easier to read.

Chat width controls help you adapt the reading area to your screen. A wider layout can suit tables and code; a narrower one may feel better for long prose. Bubble backgrounds and text colors help distinguish your prompts from the assistant's answers.

Brand Mask

Brand Mask replaces supported ChatGPT names and logos with the label or image you choose in your local interface. It can help a personal workspace or a presentation match your preferred visual identity.

The change is visual. It does not change the AI provider, grant additional ChatGPT access, or create a separate branded AI service.

Panel Layout and Everyday Controls

Open StylerGPT from the browser toolbar to adjust appearance and Toolbox settings. You can choose the supported panel layout that fits your screen, including the in-page sidebar or modal presentation.

Enter for new lines changes the composer so Enter adds a line and Shift+Enter sends the message. Messages Timestamp can display timing information alongside supported conversations. These controls remain available on Free.

Reuse and Improve Your Prompts

Prompt Manager

Prompt Manager keeps reusable prompts in a library inside ChatGPT. Save a prompt from the composer, edit it, organize it into folders, mark it as a favorite, or archive it for later. Search the library when you remember only part of a title or prompt.

Templates can contain variables that you fill before insertion. For example, a reusable comparison prompt might ask for the audience and decision criteria each time, while keeping the rest of the structure consistent.

The default quick-access trigger is // at the start of the message box. You can change the trigger in Toolbox settings. Inserting a saved prompt lets you review it in the composer before sending it.

Prompt Enhancer

Prompt Enhancer uses a temporary ChatGPT session to improve the current text draft. It offers:

Static mode: rewrites the draft using an editable template, then applies the improved text with an undo option.
Interactive mode: asks a short set of questions tailored to the draft before producing the improved prompt.
Choose each time: lets you select the mode when you start an enhancement.

The tool works on the text in the composer, rather than rewriting attachments. Review the result to make sure it still expresses your intent before sending it. Because enhancement uses ChatGPT, it depends on ChatGPT availability and any limits that apply to your account.

Smart Search

Smart Search is included with Power and the active Power trial, with unlimited searches and result exports. It is not included with Free or Pro. After the initial synchronization, use sidebar search or Ctrl/Cmd+K to find text in conversation titles and messages. Filter by user or assistant messages, conversation update date, active or archived chats, whole words, and terms to include or exclude. Highlighted excerpts help you locate the right message and jump back into the conversation.

Select results to export whole chats or matching messages with their following message as JSON, Markdown, or TXT. These exports are separate from the Chat Export allowance. Folder assignment follows your Chat Folders limits; archive and delete actions require Bulk Actions access. The index stays in your browser, separated by account and workspace. Native search remains available until the first sync finishes, and you can disable Smart Search in the Toolbox without stopping archive updates. Chat archive in Advanced controls the shared local index for Smart Search and Manage folders. Turning it off deletes downloaded archives and disables these two views, but keeps your ChatGPT conversations and folder assignments.

Prompt Guard

Prompt Guard is an opt-in Power feature for supported ChatGPT text sends. When you try to submit a prompt, it checks the outgoing text locally in your browser for patterns such as email addresses, phone numbers, payment cards, IBANs, international tax IDs, API secrets, credential assignments, and private keys. A warning pauses the send so you can edit the draft or explicitly continue.

Prompt Guard is disabled by default. Prompts and findings are not stored or sent to an analysis service. The check covers supported native composers, inline edit-and-resend, and Prompt Enhancer submission paths; files, images, OCR, voice, connector uploads, and unrelated third-party sends are outside its scope.

Prompt History and Shortcuts

History shows unique prompt text, newest first. Reusing a prompt moves it to the top instead of adding another visible copy, both in composer navigation and the History category of Prompt Manager.

Prompt History helps with recent prompts that you have not saved as templates. Use Ctrl/Cmd + Up to move backward and Ctrl/Cmd + Down to move forward through available history in the message box.

Free shows the latest 3 prompts and Pro shows the latest 5. Power removes that plan restriction. Use Prompt Manager for wording you want to keep as an intentional reusable template; recent history is not a substitute for a maintained prompt library.

Organize Conversations and Save Useful Work

Chat Folders

Chat Folders adds local folders and assignment controls to the supported ChatGPT sidebar. Create main folders such as Client Work and nested subfolders for individual clients and their projects. Main folders can also hold conversations directly.

Create a subfolder from a folder's menu. Drag a folder onto another folder to nest it, or onto the Folders header to return it to the top level; the folder menu also offers move controls. You can expand or collapse a folder and all its subfolders together. Assignment menus, including Bulk Actions and Smart Search, show paths such as Client Work / Acme.

Nesting is available on every plan. Main folders and subfolders share the same allowance: 3 total on Free, 5 on Pro, unlimited on Power. One main folder with two subfolders uses all three Free slots. Deleting a main folder also removes its subfolders after confirmation, but keeps the conversations without a folder. Existing folders and assignments are preserved when updating.

Folder data is stored in the browser. StylerGPT folders do not create ChatGPT Projects, add project instructions, or synchronize a shared workspace across your devices.

Optional folder descriptions are available on every plan and appear on hover in the sidebar.

With Power or an active trial, open Manage folders from the Folders header or a folder menu after the first Chat archive sync. Browse your folder tree alongside synchronized conversations, search titles, filter active or archived chats, and move selected conversations or remove their folder assignments. The No folder view helps you find chats that still need organizing.

Bulk Actions

Bulk Actions lets you select multiple conversations and apply supported folder assignment, archive, or delete operations. It is useful when a busy sidebar needs a cleanup.

Review the selected conversations and the requested operation before confirming it. This tool manages actual ChatGPT conversations; deleting a conversation is different from simply removing a local folder assignment. Bulk Actions requires Power or an active trial.

Chat Export

Chat Export adds a download control to a supported conversation header. Choose all messages or assistant responses only for any format. Both use the same export allowance. Select a format based on how you want to use the result:

Files are generated locally in the browser, without sending the conversation to a remote export service. PDF and DOCX options include document title, margins, text size, bubbles, and page numbering. PDF keeps text selectable and supports rich content such as lists, tables, code, images, and math, with font support depending on available resources and permissions.

One export saves a conversation. Free includes 3 exports and Pro includes 5 exports per local calendar month in total across all formats. Exporting the same conversation again uses another allowance. The use is counted when the file is handed to the browser, so canceling the browser's Save As dialog afterward does not restore it. Read the export and allowance details.

Summarize Videos and Rotate Backgrounds

YouTube Summarizer

YouTube Summarizer adds a control to supported YouTube video pages. It reads the available transcript and opens ChatGPT with a prepared summary or highlights prompt. You can choose the output language and whether to submit automatically.

It requires YouTube site access and Power or trial access. Results depend on the transcript being available and on ChatGPT's response; the tool does not promise to understand every video independently of its transcript.

Background Roulette

Background Roulette rotates your background manually, daily, weekly, or monthly. Choose all images or a category, adjust opacity, and optionally show the small wheel control for a new random pick.

It requires Power or an active trial. If you prefer a stable workspace, leave rotation disabled and choose a background manually.

Free, Pro, and Power Limits

Free and Pro include six power-ups with limits of 3 on Free and 5 on Pro:

Notes stay local to this browser and are separate for each ChatGPT account and workspace. Their capacity does not reset monthly. Existing notes remain editable after a downgrade; at capacity, delete a note to create another.

The saved-prompt limit covers the entire library, including archived prompts. Archiving does not free a slot; deleting a saved item does. Folder and prompt capacities are storage limits, not monthly quotas. Pro Lifetime uses the Pro limits of 5.

Enhancement and export counters are separate and reset on the first day of the next local calendar month. They are shared across tabs in the same browser installation, rather than synchronized across devices. Failed or canceled extension operations before completion do not consume an allowance.

Saved items beyond the included capacity remain stored when full access ends. Pro raises the usable capacity from 3 to 5; Power removes these plan limits and adds Smart Search, Prompt Queue, Bulk Actions, Background Roulette, YouTube Summarizer, Prompt Guard, and complete theme presets. Browser Support and Performance

StylerGPT is designed for ChatGPT on desktop browsers. There are dedicated versions for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. Chromium-based browsers such as Brave and Vivaldi can use the Chrome Web Store version where extension support is available. Choose a browser download.

Browser extensions, large conversations, background images, and downloaded fonts can all affect resource use. The extension's package size also changes between releases. Test a typical conversation with the features you intend to use, and keep your browser and extension current.

You can temporarily use Pause Customizations in Settings when troubleshooting. If a problem appears after a ChatGPT update, check that StylerGPT is current and send a support ticket with the browser, page, and steps needed to reproduce it.

Open the Panel Quickly

The current suggested shortcut is Alt + Shift + S in Chrome and Edge. Firefox uses Ctrl + Alt + S on Windows and Command + Alt + S on macOS. Existing browser assignments or operating-system conflicts can differ, so check your browser's extension shortcut settings if the combination does not work. The toolbar icon remains available.

What Local-First Means Here

Appearance preferences, saved prompts, recent prompt history, folder assignments, and pending Prompt Queue messages are stored locally. Chat Export also creates files locally. Prompt Guard analyzes supported outgoing text locally when enabled and does not retain the prompt or its findings.

Other actions use network services: fonts and backgrounds may be downloaded, trial and license eligibility are checked, purchases use a payment provider, and a support ticket sends the information you enter. Trial verification uses a one-way hash rather than sending the raw account email for that check.

Prompt Enhancer sends the draft through ChatGPT, and YouTube Summarizer prepares transcript content for ChatGPT. Those interactions are subject to the relevant services' data handling. The privacy policy explains these distinctions and optional permissions.

Put the Features to Work

Start with one reading improvement and one workflow improvement. For example, choose a comfortable font size and save the prompt you reuse most often. Next, create a folder for an active project and export one useful conversation.

The combination is most useful when each control has a clear purpose. A complete visual preset can save setup time; a prompt library can save repeated typing; local exports can keep the results available outside a chat.

Does StylerGPT run entirely offline?

No. Many settings and Toolbox records are local, and exports are generated locally. ChatGPT, online font or image resources, licensing, and some optional tools still require network access.

Are all the features free?

Free includes palettes, Enter for new lines, message timestamps, and six power-ups with allowances. Pro adds advanced appearance controls. Power adds full Toolbox access, including Smart Search and Prompt Guard, and complete theme presets. An eligible trial lets you try Power before choosing.

Does StylerGPT synchronize folders and prompts across devices?

These records are stored locally in the browser installation. A license that supports multiple devices does not itself synchronize the local libraries or monthly usage counters.

What should I try first?

Choose a font and background you can comfortably read, save one prompt, and export one completed conversation. Add folder organization and the other tools as your workflow needs them.
